Mountain Rescue
The GToN is operated to raise funds for charity. The Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team was established in the 1960s and provide an irreplaceable service that now extends to urban areas supporting the police in the search for missing vulnerable persons.
The service they provide is invaluable to both the hill-walker & climber as well as the wider community. Taking part in the GToN is a great way to support this worthy cause.
